                                                   Joe Diaz

Joe T. Diaz attended Morningside Elementary School in San Fernando, followed by San Fernando Jr. and Senior High schools. Joe hired in at Lockheed on 9-19-71 after serving in the U.S. Navy as a jet engine mechanic during the Viet Nam war. He took an A&P course at Van Nuys airport, and is currently working as a General Flight Mechanic. He has attended leadership courses at the Winpisinger Education and Technology Center at Placid Harbor, Maryland, as well as seminars in Industrial Safety, Arbitration, and Grievance courses at the L.A. Trade Tech. Joe is currently serving a second term as Local Lodge Vice President and Contract Negotiator. Joe is an International District Lodge delegate, General Safety Committee member, and delegate to the L.A. Federation of Labor, in addition to being the Site 2 Flight Line Senior Steward for the past 10 years. He has held Senior Steward position for 25 years.
